When do Irmginer Sea data streams update?

Hi all,

Curious, I am wondering if the current data, which most go to 2020, are the latest for this year. Reason is that I saw for the sub flanking A mooring CTD 500m going till 2021 – is that a mistake?

Hi Connor,

The timestamp of 2021-08-24T18:05:03.371Z on the 500m CTD on Flanking Mooring A is a mistake. That timestamp should not be updated and should be around 2020-08-27T12:15:01.000Z like the rest of the CTDs. We have not had any flanking mooring mule data telemetered since 8/27/2020. We will look into what is causing that timestamp to be updated when it should not be.

However, our team just completed the Irminger Sea 8 cruise which included a complete turn of the Irminger Sea Array. In the next few weeks we should have the Irminger 7 (2020-08-19T14:48:00 through 2021-08-18T08:54:00) recovered datasets downloaded and ingested into our system. Additionally, we have deployed another open ocean glider at the array which will be able to telemeter mule data from the subsurface flanking mooring A. So we should have CTD data from the newly deployed Flanking Mooring A in the system in the near future.

Thanks for reaching out!
Collin

Hi Collin,

Thanks for the very thorough response! That is great to hear the Irminger 7 datasets are being added soon.
