I am a project engineer in Ocean Networks Canada.
my working area focus on sub sea observatory instrument power control and monitoring, aka, power breakers in junction boxes.
I designed the power breakers, normally called port controllers which had more than 200 units deployed in Venus, Neptune and Smart Ocean networks in the last a few years. it is approved a reliable products, and has all necessary functions( voltage, current, ground fault, inrush limit, soft start, etc) to monitor sub sea instrument power healthy status.

the other high light project is long distance power line communication " comms over copper", it reuse fiber broken sub sea fiber cable to communicate BPR over 25km away from junction box.
