Hi, I am looking for measurements of the dominant wave phase speed at different locations. I cannot find this for any of the instrument packages in the Data Explorer, but was wondering if there is such a parameter, that it might be called something else?

Hello,

OOI does not measure dominate wave phase speed. In Data Explorer, our Surface Wave Spectra instrument ([https://oceanobservatories.org/instrument-series/wavssa/](https://oceanobservatories.org/instrument-series/wavssa/)) returns observations for significant wave height and period, mean wave height and period, and mean wave direction. If you want to compute dominant wave phase speed, you will need to do that as some post-processing. Thanks for reaching out!

Andrew
